I can't sing the praises of Icelandic wool enough - I've finished two scarves with this stuff and DAMN it's good... the first slightly - brushy kind of wool that doesn't tickle my nose! And it's water-resistant properties can't be beat. Probably the best thing about it has to be the way it looks knit up - very full and warm, but snug enough at the center of the twist so that the stitches stand out very clearly.
everyone - try it!!!
everyone - try it!!!

Re: Icelandic wool, and why I'll never go back!
Mon, February 19, 2007 - 3:38 AMI bought some by mistake, but I loved the color so much I thought I'd give it a try. It's awesome! I made a scarf out of it and it doesn't itch like most wool. Totally worth it!

Mon, February 19, 2007 - 8:02 AMWhere'd you get yours? Recommend any sources? I've only heard wonderful things about Icelandic, but I've never seen it in-the-flesh.
