with winter approaching i really want to knit myself a really nice dressing gown, but i don't want anything too wooly & heavy as i want to be able to wear it all year round.
does anyone know of any good patterns i could use, or have suggestions from thier own projects, as i'm beginning to think i'd prefer to make my own pattern......

Re: dressing gown
Mon, October 23, 2006 - 11:36 AMThere's a pattern in Sexy Little Knits that would work (though you would probably want to lengthen it). I believe it's made from a Berrocco faux-terry cloth yarn. There's also a pattern in Mason Dixon, if I'm not mistaken, if you prefer a more traditional book. -

Mon, October 23, 2006 - 11:39 AMAs for making your own pattern, you could modify a cardigan to lengthen it and then add a belt (like this knitty.com/ISSUEfall05/...osephine.html ). Some big EZ After-thought pockets would be a nice addition.
