When I worked in a yarn store, I was always disappointed by Vogue--never really liked the patterns, always seemed to call for big bulky yarn to make things knit fast (but look all funky and bulky) and they often had errors, or were badly put together (e.g. why oh why knit a sweater is so many pieces and then sew everything together? Save yourself the work and the bulky seams and just knit it all in a big piece). Interweave knits I read as soon as it came in--classic patterns, well-constructed, and the info articles were great. I never personally subscribed, b/c I've got way too many patterns as is, but I would recommend Interweave.
