Yoga mat completed
Here is the completed yoga mat. My husband is actually underneath it. He's 5'4" and on the hefty side, so you can see that it completely covers him. All you can see is his arm sticking out.
I also made the two sides different. one side is definitely smoother, while the other side is rougher and should provide more friction, for when it's being stood on during yoga poses.
I used a 75% acrylic 25% wool size 15 yarn. Originally it was to be just two colors, but I ran out and included the white band to provide for more length, until the yarn I ordered arrived. Looking at it now, I really like it. I got lots of compliments about this while I was knitting it.
The high acrylic content allows for machine washing and the wool makes it very soft and if used as a blanket (i used it as a blanket while knitting), it's very warm.
